Road Trip and Guide Dog Graduation

Petey and I took a road trip to Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael. We made a stop in Petaluma CA at the TWIT Brick House to watch the making of the Tech News Today Show. Fascinating! Met Leo Laporte too

We also went to Cotati CA to visit with my cousin and her husband. Could have talked forever.

Then to Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael for the Graduation Ceremony. We met Andrew, Archie’s new partner. Archie is going to live in Calgary Canada. He is going to have a great life – will get to go to the gym too!

Petey was a great traveler – I’m sure we will do it again.

This was a very fun meeting. Of course, Rick (our CFR) was there – we learn so much from him. We also received our Guide Dogs for the Blind appreciation certificates and puppy raiser pins.

Mermaid spent a few days with Petey. You would think that having two little ones would be easy and fun. Well, not exactly, they want to play too rough. That explains the barrier between them. Nice to see them playing right next to each other though. They take turns being in the playpen.

Guide Dog Puppy in Training is going back to school May 1, 2011

Archie was just a baby when he met the SMMOC group. It wasn’t long before he became a regular on Saturday mornings. It is so important that our puppies be able to attend meetings so they learn good manners and are able to relax around groups of people. Thank you to all of the attendees for being a part of Archie’s early training.
